The NFL (The National Football League) is experimenting with NFTs (non-fungible tokens). According to a press release, The NFL said that it’s pairing tickets purchased at select games with “Virtual Commemorative Tickets” sent as NFTs to eligible Ticketmaster wallets.
In September The National Football League partnered with Dapper Labs to create its own NFT collectible marketplace, which would be similar to the company’s NBA Top Shot product. The marketplace is expected to be released during the current NFL regular season on January 9th. Though the NFL released its first batch of NFTs through Ticketmaster and Polygon which include 125 different collectibles for each of the league’s 32 teams.
